Training Programs:
The Carmelite System wants staff to feel appreciated, comfortable and be able to communicate effectively as a team and discuss any inquiries they may have. We share a commitment to compassionate, loving care of the highest standards and would not be able to provide this without our caring and compassionate team. We hope that together as a workplace, we can overcome challenges and commit to higher caregiver education. For years, our partner The Avila Institute of Gerontology has offered training for long-term care facilities in topics including Dementia and Memory Impairment, Behavioral Management, Geriatric Spiritual Care and Palliative Care. They believe that being the change you wish to see in the workplace is the first step to having enhanced staff development and quality care for residents. Moving forward, the Avila Institute of Gerontology will continue to work with our staff educators as they provide education to direct care staff when necessary.
