A Message From The Administrator

Greetings, 

Marian Manor, sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, has been a presence in South Boston since 1954. During that time we have and we continue to provide care in the Carmelite tradition of the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm. Mother Angeline Teresa McCrory, our foundress, founded the Community in 1929. She was gifted with a special love of the Residents and taught her Sisters carefully, reminding them to be kinder than kindness itself and to find Christ in every aged person committed to our care. The Sisters integrate this mission to all of our staff. Because of our special mission, given to us by Mother Angeline, we are blessed to have dedicated, long term staff. Many of our staff have worked here for over 25 years and some have had their 40th anniversary of work, living examples of their dedication and care.      Families and residents continually remark on the friendliness of our staff. As the Administrator of this wonderful home, I am grateful for the community of Carmelite Sisters who are present to the residents on a daily basis. I am grateful for the wonderful staff and their supervisors, who work to ensure good care and I am grateful to all the volunteers who work side by side with us to provide the extra services that only the dedication of volunteers can make possible.      I invite you to call and come for a visit.
