Our activities staff encourages residents to participate in one-to-one visits, individual activities such as reading and knitting, unit activities and socials and events in Carmel Hall. In addition, activities are planned on a monthly basis and are posted throughout the Manor. These include:

Chapel (return to top of page) 
Immaculate Conception Chapel is located on 1 North next to the Main Dining Room. It is open 24 hours a day for prayer and reflection. Mass is offered daily, and the time is posted on the weekly activity schedule. Residents may also watch the Mass on the Manor's closed circuit television channel.
Beauty and Barber Shop (return to top of page) 
Licensed stylists are available to provide a complete hair care service for residents. Appointments can be made Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Some Saturday service is available. Gift Certificates Available
Side-By-Side Cafe (return to top of page) 
The cafe is open 7 days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. It is located on the Third Floor of the East building and is open to all residents, families and staff members. Menus are reasonably priced. This is a great spot to share a cup of coffee or tea with family and friends.
Gift Shop (return to top of page) 
The Gift Shop is located on the Third Floor of the East Building across from the Cafe. The shop, which is staffed by volunteers, is open at various times throughout the week. A wide variety of items are available for purchase such as toiletries, candy, greeting cards, postage stamps, newspapers, etc. In addition we have opportunities available to volunteer in our gift shop - please contact us if you can help.
Mail (return to top of page) 
Incoming mail is delivered daily to each unit. Outgoing mail can be dropped off in the lobby or at the Nursing Station. Stamps are available for sale in the Gift Shop. Special postal services such as Air Mail or Parcel Post can be arranged through the Purchasing Department.
Newspaper (return to top of page) 
Delivery can be arranged through Social Service
Resident Bank (return to top of page) 
The Resident Bank is located on 1 South and is open from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., M-Tu-W-F. A check cashing service is also available. If a Resident needs any type of assistance, please contact your social worker.
Shopping (return to top of page) 
Marian Manor has vendors who come in periodically for the residents' convenience. At any time during your stay feel free to contact your social worker if you need assistance. Our gift shop also stocks a small assortment of slippers, socks and basic items.
Visiting Hours (return to top of page) 
We do encourage visitors at all times. There are no official visiting hours but we recommend that visitors do not come in before 9:00 a.m. so that residents can be up, dressed, and eat their breakfast. We ask that visitors do not visit after 9:00 p.m. in consideration of some residents who retire early. You should feel free to use the Cafe, lobby, and courtyards when visiting. Community areas are available for family celebrations, special arrangements can be made if you are planning a large party.
